Lake Sunapee Team Open Recap

Hello to everyone that came out to fish in the first team tournament of the 2017 season at Lake Sunapee today, and to everyone that didn't get a chance to make this one. I counted 19 boats that showed up to brave the elements, as the air temp at the time of the meeting was 45 degrees, with water surface temp very similar at 48 degrees. It rained for most of the day, mixing in a little wind too. Fortunately, the sun came out for the last half hour of the tournament and the weigh in.

While the bite was tough for some teams today, I got to speak to today's winning team of Looney/Belanger who proved that it wasn't tough for everyone. Mark and Lee did most of their damage early, putting a limit in the boat by 9:00 am. They did this by power fishing a series of spots that ended up holding the winning fish (over 14lbs for 4 fish). Congrats to all of the winners today for grinding out the weather to put a limit in the boat! For those of you who don't know Mark and Lee, they are regulars on the NH Basshunters Team Trail and always a threat to win, great job!!

Full results have been posted. If you didn't get a chance to join the club you have another opportunity May 14th when the club visits Lake Winnisquam. Hope you can make it!
